- 12 mozzarella sticks
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Prepare your mozzarella sticks by cutting them in half if desired.
- Create your breading station: place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and a mixture of breadcrumbs, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in the last bowl.
- Dip each mozzarella stick into the flour, ensuring it’s fully coated, then into the egg, and finally into the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure they are well-covered.
- Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the breaded mozzarella sticks in a single layer.
- Give the tops a light spray with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 6-8 minutes, until golden brown.
- Serve immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
For a healthier option, substitute breadcrumbs with gluten-free varieties. Pair with warm marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
