Description
A creamy, cheesy dish featuring tender ground beef layered over fluffy garlic butter rice, all topped with melted cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, seasoning with salt, pepper, onion powder, and paprika. Cook until no pink remains, about 6-8 minutes, then drain fat and set aside.
- Make the garlic butter rice: In another saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Stir in rice, beef broth, and heavy cream, mixing well. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until creamy.
- Layer the dish: In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread the rice, layer the beef on top, and cover with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for 2-3 minutes for a golden top if desired.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot, scooping deep to enjoy all layers.
Notes
For a leaner option, use ground turkey or chicken. Feel free to add sautéed vegetables for extra flavor.
