- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons green onions, sliced (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Add the ground beef and diced onion to a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until browned, about 6–7 minutes, then drain excess fat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper, simmer for 2 minutes.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle half the mozzarella and half the cheddar over the beef.
- Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer over the cheese.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and cheddar over the tater tots.
- Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with green onions if using.

This casserole can be made ahead; assemble and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.
