Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by seasoning the breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to taste.
- Sear the chicken in olive oil over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Cook the rice by boiling chicken broth with salt, then adding the rice and simmering until tender.
- Make the sauce by melting butter, whisking in flour, then gradually adding milk and chicken broth until smooth.
- Combine the seared chicken, rice, and creamy sauce, letting it simmer until the chicken is tender.
- Serve the dish plated with rice topped with chicken and sauce, garnished with parsley.
Notes
Feel free to swap the cheese for Gruyère or mozzarella, and use brown rice for a healthy alternative.
