Ingredients
- Pasta (any type)
- Canned tomatoes (diced or crushed)
- Heavy cream
- Fresh garlic
- Onion
- Olive oil
- Fresh basil (or dried)
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant and slightly translucent.
- Stir in the canned tomatoes, along with salt and pepper; let simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Toss in your pasta and enough water to cover it entirely.
- Bring to a rolling boil and cook until the pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally.
- Lower the heat, add heavy cream and fresh basil, stirring until combined and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For a dairy-free option, replace heavy cream with coconut milk. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
