Description
A creamy, cheesy shredded chicken loaded with ranch seasoning and bacon; perfect for game-day dips, sandwiches, or a no-fuss family dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (~1 oz)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot in a single layer and pat them dry.
- Evenly sprinkle the ranch seasoning packet over the chicken.
- Dollop the cream cheese over the chicken in chunks.
- Cover and cook on low for about 7 hours or on high for about 4 hours until chicken reaches 165°F.
- Remove the lid and use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the pot.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions. Let cheese melt before serving.
Notes
Use boneless thighs for juicier meat. Soften cream cheese first for easier mixing.
