- 2 green tomatoes, sliced
- 4 slices of bacon
- 2 leaves of lettuce
- 1 ripe tomato, sliced
- 4 slices of bread
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the green tomatoes.
- Fry until crispy in a skillet over medium-high heat, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Cook the bacon until crispy.
- Toast the bread to your preferred texture.
- Spread mayonnaise on one slice of toast.
- Layer lettuce, followed by fried green tomatoes, bacon, and tomato slices.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Complete the sandwich with another slice of bread, slice in half, and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider double-dredging the tomatoes. Store leftover components separately to maintain freshness.
