- 2 lbs boneless, skinless Chicken Breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp extra virgin Olive Oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted Butter
- 6 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 cup low sodium Chicken Broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 tsp Dried Italian Herbs
- 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes, optional
- Salt & Black Pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Pat the chicken pieces dry and season with salt and black pepper.
- Sear the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet, add chicken in a single layer and sear for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove and set aside.
- Sauté the garlic: In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Create the Parmesan sauce: Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, bringing it to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, dried herbs, and red pepper flakes.
- Combine chicken and sauce: Return chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Garnish and serve: Remove from heat, garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For lighter sauce, swap heavy cream with half-and-half. Chicken thighs can be used for added richness.
