A family favorite, these golden creamy scalloped potatoes are comforting and delicious, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients

- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- Layer half of the thinly sliced potatoes in the bottom of the dish.
- Combine the heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl and mix well.
- Pour half of this cream mixture over the first layer of potatoes.
- Sprinkle half of the cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the cream layer.
- Add the remaining potato slices on top.
- Pour the rest of the cream mixture over the second layer of potatoes and top with the remaining cheese.
- Dot the surface with small pieces of butter.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, you can substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream. Experiment with different cheese blends for unique flavors.
