Warm and cheesy ham and cheese stromboli rolls perfect for family dinners or get-togethers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 8 slices ham
- 8 slices cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle shape.
- Layer the ham and cheese over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges for sealing.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and seal the edges securely.
- Cut the log into individual rolls, aiming for 1-2 inches in thickness.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- In a small bowl, mix honey, mustard, and poppy seeds, then brush the glaze generously over the top of the rolls.
- Beat the egg and use it to brush the tops, giving the rolls a beautiful finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and irresistible.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving to let the cheese set.
Notes
