Ingredients
Scale
- 4 Hawaiian rolls
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Optional: Sliced tomatoes or crispy bacon
Instructions
- Start by slicing the Hawaiian rolls in half, making sure not to cut all the way through.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and generously butter the insides of each roll.
- Place the bottom halves of the rolls on the skillet and fill each pocket generously with shredded cheese.
- Gently press the top halves down onto the cheese.
- Grill the sandwiches until they’re golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Once both sides are crispy and the cheese is melted, remove them from the heat. Slice, serve hot, and enjoy!
Notes
Consider experimenting with different cheeses or adding herbs for extra flavor. Serve with a side of tomato soup or crispy fries.
