Description
A quick and flavorful dish featuring marinated chicken, fresh vegetables, and a spicy sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500g chicken, diced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons cornflour
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- Spring onions for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, combine diced chicken with soy sauce, chili sauce, minced ginger, minced garlic, and salt. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Coat in cornflour: After marinating, toss the chicken in cornflour until lightly coated.
- Heat the oil: In a wok or large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Fry the chicken: Add the marinated chicken to the hot oil. Fry it until it’s golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir-fry the veggies: Once the chicken is done, toss in the sliced onions, diced bell pepper, and chopped green chilies. Stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender yet crunchy.
- Serve: Plate the Dragon Chicken hot, garnished with chopped spring onions.
Notes
For a milder dish, reduce chili sauce or use a sweeter variety. This recipe is versatile; swap chicken with tofu or other proteins as needed.
