Description

Crispy fries topped with a creamy cheese sauce and a kick of spice, perfect for any gathering or game night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 26 ounces frozen French fries
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder (divided)
  • 8 ounces white cheddar cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Prepare the fries by laying them in a single layer on a baking sheet or in the air fryer basket. Bake until golden brown, about 20 to 25 minutes.
  3. Make the cheese sauce: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour until well combined and cook for about 2 minutes.
  4. Add the milk gradually while whisking continuously to avoid lumps. Add salt, white pepper, ranch seasoning, and half of the cayenne powder. Continue whisking until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the shredded white cheddar until melted and creamy.
  6. Combine the fries and cheese sauce, serving them warm with a sprinkle of remaining cayenne powder if desired.

Notes

These fries can be served with dipping sauces or topped with jalapeños and bacon for added flavor.
