Description

Sweet-savory sliders with juicy chicken, smoky bacon, and Gouda, brushed with glossy maple butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (12 count) King’s Hawaiian Rolls
  • 12 cooked chicken breast strips
  • 4 slices Gouda cheese
  • 4 to 6 slices cooked bacon
  • 1/4 cup maple butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the connected Hawaiian rolls horizontally to separate the tops and bottoms.
  3. Spread a generous layer of maple butter over the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Arrange the cooked chicken strips in a single layer across the bottom.
  5. Lay the cooked bacon slices on top of the chicken.
  6. Cover the bacon with Gouda slices.
  7. Replace the top half of the rolls and press gently.
  8. Place the assembled sliders on a baking sheet and bake for 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from oven and brush the tops with additional maple butter.
  10. Let the sliders rest for 1–2 minutes, then cut into individual sliders and serve warm.

Notes

For a lighter version, use turkey bacon and low-fat cheese. For vegetarian sliders, substitute chicken and bacon with grilled marinated tempeh or portobello.
