- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese, for serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper and add to the skillet. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and deglaze the pan, scraping up any bits.
- Stir in heavy cream, basil, and oregano. Bring to a simmer.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and let it simmer in the sauce for about 15 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Serve over pasta or rice, topping with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
Notes
Don’t overcook the chicken to keep it juicy. You can add vegetables like spinach for extra flavor.
