- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (extra for garnish)
- 1 tsp fresh dill, chopped (optional)
- Juice of 1 lemon (approximately 2 tbsp)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Sear the chicken in olive oil over medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes on each side.
- Create the sauce base by melting butter in the same skillet and adding minced garlic.
- Add Dijon mustard and red pepper flakes, cooking for an additional minute.
- Incorporate chopped parsley and dill, stirring well.
- Simmer in chicken broth and lemon juice for about 5 minutes.
- Finish by adding heavy cream and stirring until combined.
- Bring back the chicken to soak in the sauce before serving.
Notes
Serve with rice, bread, or over pasta. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
