- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 2 tablespoons sugar (for sprinkling)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Roll out the pie crusts on a clean surface.
- Use a round cutter or glass to cut the dough into small circles (about 3 inches in diameter).
- Place a spoonful of cherry pie filling in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape. Use a fork to seal the edges.
- Beat the egg in a bowl and brush the tops of the bites with the egg wash.
- Sprinkle sugar over the tops for a sweet crunch.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving to avoid burning your tongue on the delicious filling!
