A quick and delicious side dish featuring roasted asparagus topped with crispy bacon and nutty Parmesan cheese.

- 1 lb (450 g) asparagus, trimmed
- 4 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment.
- Trim the woody ends from the asparagus and pat the spears dry.
- Place asparagus on the baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Toss to coat and season with salt and pepper.
- Scatter the chopped bacon over the asparagus.
- Roast for 15–20 minutes, checking at 12 minutes for doneness.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with grated Parmesan.
- Serve hot for the best texture.
Notes
For extra crispiness, you can partially cook the bacon before roasting. This dish is best enjoyed immediately.
