Description
A comforting bowl of pasta draped in a rich, smoky garlic butter sauce with tender chicken thighs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 8 oz penne or linguine pasta
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Red pepper flakes, chopped parsley, grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add your penne or linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining and set aside.
- Sauté the garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Cook the chicken: Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Add them to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side or until they turn golden brown and are cooked through.
- Create the sauce: Once the chicken is cooked, reduce the heat to low. Add the soy sauce and honey to the skillet. Stir to coat the chicken and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Combine everything: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat. If the mixture seems a bit dry, add in the reserved pasta water until you achieve a smooth, creamy consistency.
- Serve warm: Plate your pasta hot, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
Consider adding vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for added nutrition and color, or spice it up with red pepper flakes.
