- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 bottle of Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a bowl, combine BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil, stirring until smooth.
- Lay the seasoned chicken in the crockpot and pour the BBQ sauce mixture over them.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the chicken is tender.
- Shred the chicken with two forks and mix it back into the sauce.
- Serve hot over rice, in sandwiches, or with side dishes.
Notes
For added flavor, sear the chicken before placing it in the crockpot. Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of brown sugar.
