Description
A delightful fusion of sweet mango and savory Asian ingredients, perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup mango puree (fresh or canned)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if you’re opting for the baking method. Alternatively, heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Combine the mango puree, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, grated ginger, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir well to create a luscious glaze.
- Coat the chicken breasts thoroughly in the mango glaze.
- Arrange the glazed chicken breasts on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until fully cooked. For skillet-seared, cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
For a juicier option, you can use chicken thighs instead of breasts. Substitute honey with maple syrup for a vegan-friendly dish.
