Description
A delightful skillet dish featuring tender chicken in a rich, buttery sauce kissed with honey, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the unsalted butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy, then set aside.
- Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, aiming for golden brown and an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to keep warm.
- In the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits. Stir in the reserved butter mixture and cook until fully melted and combined.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it’s coated with sauce, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For a juicier option, substitute chicken breasts for thighs. Adjust spices to preference.
