Description

A quick and delicious skillet meal that’s perfect for busy weeknights, offering rich flavors and creamy texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 4 tablespoons butter (or olive oil)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth (low-sodium recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Cracked black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup caramelized onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley (for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper or hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes and kalamata olives

Instructions

  1. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook in the skillet for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and honey, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan.
  6. Stir in the caramelized onions, heavy cream, and cayenne pepper (or hot sauce) and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce.
  8. Sprinkle the cherry tomatoes and kalamata olives over the top, add the shredded cheese if using, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.
  9. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in spices and honey for 30 minutes before cooking. Adjust the sauce thickness by adding chicken broth as needed. Customize with different cheese or vegetables.
