  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the rigatoni according to the package instructions until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, then drain off any excess fat.
  4. Add the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
  5. Combine the cooked rigatoni with the meat sauce in a large bowl.
  6. Layer half of the rigatoni mixture in a baking dish, followed by half of the mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining rigatoni mixture and mozzarella cheese.
  8. Add Parmesan cheese generously on top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil and serve.
