- 12 oz rigatoni pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the rigatoni according to the package instructions until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, then drain off any excess fat.
- Add the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Combine the cooked rigatoni with the meat sauce in a large bowl.
- Layer half of the rigatoni mixture in a baking dish, followed by half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining rigatoni mixture and mozzarella cheese.
- Add Parmesan cheese generously on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve.
