Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine the flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
- Dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour mixture.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 10 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out the dough to form a pizza base.
- Spread the tomato sauce over the dough.
- Top with mozzarella slices and fresh basil.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
For a crispier crust, preheat the pizza stone in the oven before baking the pizza.
