Description
Delicious chicken breasts marinated in a sweet garlic maple sauce and topped with crispy bacon.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the marinade: In a medium bowl, combine the maple syrup, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until well blended.
- Coat the chicken: Take each chicken breast and coat it thoroughly in the maple garlic mixture. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes for maximum flavor absorption.
- Sear the chicken: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken breasts and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown.
- Transfer to a baking dish: Once seared, move the chicken breasts to a baking dish. Pour any remaining marinade over the top.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and juices run clear.
- Add bacon: In the last 5 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the top of the chicken for that crispy finish.
- Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Allowing the chicken to marinate longer results in more flavorful meat. Consider adding a pinch of smoked paprika for extra flavor.
