Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Nutella

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with muffin liners.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas with melted butter until blended.
  3. Add in the baking soda and a pinch of salt, stirring to incorporate.
  4. Mix in the sugar, followed by the beaten egg and vanilla extract, stirring until combined.
  5. Fold in the flour, mixing until just combined—don’t overdo it!
  6. Spoon half of the batter into the muffin liners, filling each about halfway.
  7. Place a dollop of Nutella on top of the batter in each liner.
  8. Add the remaining batter on top of the Nutella, filling the liners about 3/4 full.
  9. Using a knife, gently swirl the Nutella into the batter to create beautiful patterns.
  10. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
