Ingredients

- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Nutella
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with muffin liners.
- Combine the mashed bananas with melted butter until blended.
- Add in the baking soda and a pinch of salt, stirring to incorporate.
- Mix in the sugar, followed by the beaten egg and vanilla extract, stirring until combined.
- Fold in the flour, mixing until just combined—don’t overdo it!
- Spoon half of the batter into the muffin liners, filling each about halfway.
- Place a dollop of Nutella on top of the batter in each liner.
- Add the remaining batter on top of the Nutella, filling the liners about 3/4 full.
- Using a knife, gently swirl the Nutella into the batter to create beautiful patterns.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
These muffins can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
