- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the coating: In a shallow bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl to create an egg wash.
- Dredge each chicken breast in all-purpose flour, then dip it into the egg wash, and coat it thoroughly with the crumb mixture.
- Sear the chicken in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake for about 15-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Prepare the sauce by adding heavy cream and minced garlic to the same skillet and simmering over low heat until fragrant.
- Serve the baked chicken with the creamy garlic sauce drizzled over it.
Notes
For a healthier version, use low-fat cheese or whole wheat breadcrumbs. Great with a side of roasted vegetables or pasta.
