- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the puff pastry into squares.
- Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of cream cheese mixture on each pastry square.
- Top each with sliced strawberries and sprinkle with sugar.
- Fold the corners of the pastry squares towards the center and pinch to seal.
- Combine the egg and milk to make an egg wash and brush it over each pastry.
- Arrange the pastries on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the pastries cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Pairs well with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
